Negative experience: I recently attended an open house on Sunday 4/28. I understood from our realtor ahead of the open house that the house had been virtually staged. Of course, I kept an open mind going into the open house on Sunday. I'd like to first add here that I wrote a very thorough review on Yelp. It was not a good review and was responded to by Todd who asked for my address so that he could properly respond and make good by it. The following day Yelp removed my posting for not having direct interaction. This is not true and my right to speech was violated. Yelp sided without proper review of my content He actually violated Yelp policy by publicly asking for my address to make up for it (false apologies). That said and getting past that, the property was disgusting. It smelled, it was not staged, it was false advertising and perhaps I wouldn't be so upset if he hadn't had my first review removed as I was going to contact him to see if we could meet and perhaps engage him in our search. If his response to me hadn't been duplicated from anothers and he hadn't had my content taken down, I would have been totally open to a conversation but he's falsifying his reviews and that's not right. I'm sure there are many happy customers but that doesn't change my opinion or my experience. - The house was dirty - It was not staged for 3 months as he said - It smelled of something - to be honest I'm not sure if it was pet or human. - He and his assistant in her black suit stood in the kitchen (I have nothing to say about her other than she looked concerned). There were a lot of people there. - He stood in the kitchen with nothing to say sometimes buried in his phone (his excuse was the 250 people he had from 12-4) I came at 11. So not sure what that excuse was about nor do I really care. I've bought and sold a number of houses and experiences like this are why there's a local list of realtors who inflate reviews and should be distanced from. - The pictures were more than staged or doctored. It was a different house. The front yard was nice. - The house had potential for someone interested in a full remodel and or tear down. But the house priced at $999 (the house around the corner is 1.4) I know why he priced it this way because the homes in this area are priced this high because they are beautiful. This house may be one day. His excuse on the house being the way it was is that there is a 90 year old living there. That was evident. From the sad mini fridge in the bedroom to the blanket and remote on the dirty lounge char off the main bedroom to the removal of doors in the house and electronic chair on the staircase. I'm really disappointed with my entire experience including how I reviewed and was responded to. Not every review sometimes is going to be glamorized. I see he responded to a customer in a very unpleasant manner that also tried to leave an honest review on Yelp about his bullying tactics, and as such he posted a timeline of their communication- totally not ok. MY expeirience with him was not good. And this is my honest review. I will be wary of any listing that he has. He clearly has a smart team going hard on social media to create a narrative that works for him. As a small business owner like he said he is, you have to face and acknowledge the realiyi and experiences your customers have.
