Fantastic experience: Emily, Danielle and the team that makes Hustle & Heart Homes are the crème de la crème in real estate. As first time home buyers, there's a sense of anxiety looming no matter how much research you do yourself. In comes Emily with the greatest sense of calm and confidence that just sets the tone for our whole home buying experience. One memory that stands out at our very first meeting was when I shared how I didn't want to get too invested in a home only to be let down by being outbid (we had friends who viewed 50+ homes and made 6 offers... just a roller coaster we didn't want a ride on). Emily without skipping a beat says, "I don't lose, we won't have to worry about that" confidently and genuinely. And... well, our experience speaks for itself... she got the address of the home we were interested in that meeting, locked in a private viewing the next day, Saturday, she wrote the offer Sunday, where it was accepted that same day. Yes, it was fast! But what you don't see is ALL the work in between... she connected us with a lender who went to bat for us as far as rates, the lender was someone who worked so well with Emily and she with them. The communication between Emily, our lender and us those THREE days was where the magic happened - she knew her stuff! Emily's advice was always sound and when it was truly up to us, she made our options clear so that we made the right decision for ourselves. After our offer was accepted, the HHH team advised us between the inspection, escrow, the walk through, all the way to closing... and admittedly through today (they've sent us solid contractor and vendor recommendations at every ask). It truly was a white glove experience with this team <3 Now we're in our dream first home, getting ready to celebrate our first holiday here. My dad works in the mortgage industry so when my partner and I started our house hunting journey, I asked him to search his network and connect us with the best realtor in the Yamhill area; he certainly delivered when he introduced us to Emily! As first time buyers, we didn't have a clear idea what we wanted, vastly overestimated what our budget would get us, and had a tight schedule to fit house hunting into. Emily worked with us as we went through iterations of our vision, helped us figure out what areas worked for us and what didn't, talked us through our first offer, and the frustration when the financing for it fell through, kept tabs on us while we sorted out financing a second time, and of course went with us to dozens and dozens of houses over many weekends while we nitpicked every little thing about every place, until we found our home. We thought we'd end up with a fixer upper to build a couple years of equity in before we got a real house, and we ended up with our dream home. I don't think we'll ever want to leave it! They (Emily and Danielle) were on top of absolutely everything through close, less than 3 weeks between seeing the house and getting the keys, and it was so easy on us! Fantastic experience: My husband and I used Emily and Danielle to help us buy our home in this crazy competitive market. They were behind us through the whole process, constantly sending us homes, always available to show us homes, and very were quick to respond to any questions we had. They helped us write a competitive offer and we ended up getting the first house we put an offer on, which is very rare in this market. When it came time for the inspection, they helped us negotiate repairs standing behind us the entire time. They are realtors who truly care about their clients and have their best interest at heart. Not only are they knowledgable in the real estate market, but they have a great eye for design. This helps give you a "vision" when buying a home. We cannot recommend this team enough and will be referring them to all our family and friends. If we ever have to buy or sell again we will definitely be using Emily Corning and Danielle Lucia.

Negative experience: I hired Emily Corning to purchase a home and sell my existing home. She accompanied my wife and I to a couple of homes which I found online. She seemed distracted that day and never asked about what features I was looking for or offered to find other homes. We happened to decide on one of those homes and made an offer. We eventually agreed on a price with the seller, but the seller's contract forced us to put our house on the market within days and go into contract soon after. None of this was explained to me prior to signing the contract. I don't know if Emily even attempted to negotiate the contract. I hired a real estate attorney soon after. Our lives were turned upside down, frantically clearing out the house, preparing for the showing in a matter of days. Even more difficult when you have animals, a child to keep safe and a spouse who works during the day. To describe this as stressful would be an understatement. We accepted one of the offers. Our home inspector, recommended by Emily, was worthless. He missed a bunch of issues and actually said that I didn't need to insulate an uninsulated attic knee wall adjacent to the conditioned space. A home energy inspector later confirmed that his advice made no sense. I should have found my own inspector. Lesson learned. On the other hand, the buyers of our home hired an inspector who was very thorough. In fact, they hit us with a nice $5,000 bill to fix flagged issues because Emily failed to sell our house in "as is" condition. That would have been a smart move seeing that our home was only seven years old. Buyers would not have questioned it. So much for a "seller's market." I'd like to think that an experienced realtor would have protected their client. Towards the end of the process, it became increasingly difficult to get Emily on the phone. She did her part. She would soon get paid. On to the next one. I've purchased homes before and I've sold homes, but I've never purchased and sold simultaneously. It was a nightmare process I wouldn't wish on anyone. Too bad I didn't have a realtor looking out for my best interests. P.S. Emily didn't even show up after closing to welcome us to our new home and give us the keys. Not even an excuse as to why. She sent one of her employees. *Danielle & Jennifer were polite, responsive and helpful. Without them, this would be a one-star review.

Fantastic experience: I can't even begin to describe how thankful I am to have been referred to Emily and Jenny. They are both such warm and thoughtful ladies. I can't even imagine what it would have been like to have had to go through this with anyone else. We worked primarily with Jenny. She handled everything for us. She was professional, but made my husband and I feel like she was a friend of ours helping us look for a home and helped us from start to close (and even after!). I could email/text/call her at any time of day or night and she would respond to us pretty quickly.
