Fantastic experience: We were in dire need of a rental in NJ with not much time to secure it, 3 weeks, if that long. And we were clueless on where or how to begin and in such a short timeframe. I had started the process looking online but almost got scammed! Since we were based in LA, we decided to reach out to a local company for assistance. Sarah Rosario was amazing! She quickly eased all our worries. So knowledgeable and professional. She answered all our questions and her response time was always immediate. She truly held our hand by explaining and guiding us through the entire process. And handled most things electronically for ease. Negative experience: The realtor I was dealing with had really bad communication skills and knew almost nothing about the rental process. Towards the end it felt desperate and sketchy. Edit: because the owner replied in a way to dismiss my experience, I wanted to edit the review to add that the agent's name is Karen Flynn-Ross. If there is no record then that is a failure on the practice's end.

Great people work here, I came in expecting something scary, didn't know what to expect y'know young and new homeowner that recently inherited a house, they told me everything I needed to know, and I got a new tenant within a a few months. No kinds of hitches from there. Recommend!

Negative experience: Why am I getting random text messages from this place asking me to sell my home? Very weird they have all my info and that they feel free to text me. I only been living in my house for 2 years and they want me to sell? Odd.

Negative experience: Text message spammers, sending out unsolicited messages trying to get you to sell your house.

Fantastic experience: SCAM ! Horrible experience with this branch and specifically Jamie Libisi. Like the market isn’t in rough enough conditions as it is but to be terribly rude and unprofessional with interested tenants is unacceptable. She was too busy in her phone to even walk me through the listing but couldn’t answer basic questions I had. Besides that, she couldn’t handle simple math and told me the listing was no longer available when it’s clearly still listed online. Save your money on those credit applications as this place seems to only want to scam their clients who are desperately looking for a new home, and low balling the listing just to get you interested enough to tell you that you better bid ‘x’ amount higher to even be considered as an applicant. Those with bad credit be weary, don’t be too desperate or they’ll just invite you to get you to apply, and ignore you once they have their measly $38 SCAM

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Charlie Paduch to be your go to real estate agent. He is attentive and helpful with my relocation to outside NYC and help me find the ideal place to live within my price.

Negative experience: Stay away from this dishonest company and beware the fake reviews here. The 4% commission will cost you more. Lazy, unprofessional, dishonest agents. Offers on our property were not told to us, our agent would not follow up and couldn’t be bothered to attend the closing. Save yourself a headache and money by going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I live in SC. We sold out house in Clifton NJ. The best thing that happened was meeting Nick Rodriguez. Nick was our go to guy, a professional who had our needs at heart. Nick was always there for us especially when we were in SC. He met with service providers at appointed times whenever necessary. I would not hesitate to refer Nick to anyone. He’s personable, courteous and very reliable.

Negative experience: A.W. Van Winkle & Company has stooped to cold spamming Bergen County (and other) residents. They must have acquired a fairly accurate consumer database/list from somewhere, down to cell phone numbers. Now Nicole and team have begun spamming unsuspecting home owners. They send a text message out of the blue that says "Hi, is this ? If you wonder who's messaging you, and respond with "who is this?" she has a live confirmation and will hook you no end with spam, email and phone calls :( Nicole and team also send unsolicited emails with headers like "Did you just list your House?". Of course if you even click that email, they'll have a live confirmation of who you are and hook you and hound you no end. Basically they have taken the Art Of Spamming to the next level. The result is that we would NEVER do business with A.W. Van Winkle & Company. Getting consumer mailers via USPS mail is one thing, but personally spamming us on our cell phones and email is simply not acceptable. It immediately creates a STRONG NEGATIVE RESPONSE towards these people who think they are being smart. It is crossing a line and they are pushing beyond individual privacy once they hit personal cell phones. This is NOT the same as receiving junk messages in email. We will of course spread the word -- and Word-Of-Mouth in the Bergen/Passaic/Hudson County Real Estate business always holds a lot of value.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been an agent at AW since 2018. Damoun and Peter are simply the best brokers/owners an agent can ask for. Damoun is a marketing genius and is super responsive and always has his finger on the pulse when it comes to trends and new innovations to help the agents out. Peter brings decades of experience and is the company’s namesake- so he has the burden of carrying on the tradition of the oldest firm in the country! Combine that with amazing commission splits, provided leads and not to mention the office manager Lauren is a super proactive manager, as she’s quick to offer assistance in any regard! Simply put- I would recommend anyone interested in either working for AW Van Winkle or in need of an amazing real estate firm to assist in buying, selling or renting a property, give us a buzz !

Fantastic experience: Our experience with our agent Ashok Mahtani was fantastic. Just bought our first house in Morristown NJ after a long search in Morris and Bergen counties . Recommend for the following reasons (1) calm person to deal with a hot market and bidding wars (2) responsive & knowledgeable about all parts of the process , hunting, negotiating, closing (3) able to get the deal done despite having a lot of other clients and deals going on We worked with a variety of agents in a long process of buying our first home and Ashok got the deal done for us.

Negative experience: I only regret that I can't rate lower then 1 star in my case one star is far too generous. The laziness and incompetence of their agent Karen literally cost me thousands of dollars in lost rental income. Be advised there are much better professionals in the area. Also beware of the many paid fake reviews
