Fantastic experience: I've had the opportunity to work with Nicole through RPM. In the construction industry, unexpected costs and change orders are common, but I've noticed that Nicole always works hard to keep costs as low as possible for both property owners and tenants. She pays close attention to every detail and consistently negotiates with subcontractors to make sure her clients receive the best possible value. What stands out most is her fairness. Fantastic experience: RPM was great to work with. We are new tenants and have only been in our new rental for a few weeks, but Nicole and Caitlin worked very quickly to help us get into this home. We had a move date set to live at another property (not associated with RPM) and after finding out less than 24 hours that our rental would not be available, we were in a rough spot. With movers coming, we somehow found this property, viewed it Friday morning at 10:00 am and had keys by 4:45 pm, so that the movers could come on the original day of Monday. They worked quickly with us to get us in. It was really a miracle that it all worked out. And it would not have been possible without Nicole and Caitlin. We are really happy in our new rental.

Particularly, Nicole M. who has gone above and beyond helping my family and I out with various maintenance issues and concerns. Nicole consistently deals with difficult technicians and ensures any problems we have are taken care of. I would highly recommend this company solely based on my interactions with Nicole, who always gets results for her tenants!!

Negative experience: Be aware of RPM assurance, they pretend to be nice and professional at move in and then you move in and they hardley communicate. They are deceptive. My family moved in and immediately had issues with dog hair or some kind of cotton or other hair on our clothes, I sent a maintenance request and pictures and still to this day they have not fixed the issue, and they passed the issue to me to deal with. About a month or so after moving in there was a carpet bug infestation in our unit that according to their pest control was coming from under the flooring of the kitchen and possibly around of the windows and apartment flooring, it took weeks for them to send pest control and bugs were flying around my kitchen and apartment, I had to spray raid to maintain the issues while I disputed the issues with RPM Assurance and they never did a f/u spray although I scheduled the appointment and they never showed up. I've also have had issues with their rental portal so when I pay my rent I end up paying more than necessary, almost as if they initially do that to keep any credit on your account when you move out. I am very disappointed with this property management company and will never rent from them again.

Positive experience: I am a new tenant, so I can only speak regarding first impressions. But so far, I am impressed with this company, and the quality of the property they have provided. While not perfect, it is well maintained and seems to show attention and concern from the management team. And aside from that, the people have all been friendly, attentive to our inquiries, and welcoming. Overall, I would highly recommend others to seek this company out if looking for any properties they manage, as they do seem to be interested in maintaining and building relationships, rather than simply providing a roof over your head. (Edit): Having lived here about two and a half years, I would say that this company, like most others, has good sides and bad. There are some long standing issues that show some inattention, but major issues they tend to be pretty quick about getting assistance scheduled at least. There are a few employees that I have interacted with that are simply the most amazing people ever, or at least seem like decent folk, and a few that make it harder to live there. To be totally fair, they do seem to try and remove bad eggs as well. So, I think the net aggregate after the good and the bad is that they do try and take care of the major problems for you, which is more than can be said about some. Overall, if the price is right for you, the company should not be a deal breaker.

Fantastic experience: We had to get into our rental sight unseen in person, but they made every effort to provide as thorough as possible effort to let us see everything prior to entering into our lease. Upon move in we were provided a very detailed inspection of the house and was very welcoming to verification and additional findings over a few days to get acclimated and utilize the home. Every correspondence has been answered in a very timely manner and has addressed the concerns or questions. I look forward to continuing my lease with real property management and would recommend their services to anyone interested. To make it short it they have been as transparent as could be!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I’m forced to change my initial post. After I moved in, I have not received any of the service I expected or the things promised at move in. The sink drains were not working correctly, the kitchen faucet cannot be adjusted, the unit has ants… there are a number of things we’ve brought up and reported which have not been fixed or resolved unless we’ve done it ourselves. I had such high hopes for this management company and I’m so disappointed in the reality.

Negative experience: Incredibly poor communication and cancelled a showing on us last minute. Didn’t follow the laws regarding Portland rentals. Would never want to associate or do business with this company. EDIT - What the company responded is factually incorrect. They send me an email at 10:41am for an 11:30am showing. I’m not sure how that would be “2+ hours” you claimed . Incredibly unprofessional to not notify someone of that if the property is already rented in advance and to make us reorganize our days after already cancelling a showing on us.

Fantastic experience: We worked with Whitney and Nolan to get approved and moved into a home in Hillsboro. They provided all the information we needed to choose a house, the application process was quick and simple. They responded to our requests quickly and had answers to everything. RPM had the absolute best on-boarding process I've ever experienced.

Fantastic experience: I used to manage a rental house in another state myself. Real Property Management Assurance is the first property management company I work with. I should say that it is a great experience. Robert and Joyce are very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. In addition, both of them can speak Chinese, and it makes so much difference in communication! They helped us whenever we needed it (like showing us how to adjust the electronic thermostat) and gave us great guidelines for moving out. World class . Fantastic experience: Joyce and Robert were very helpful in getting me approved for a rental leas. I had some circumstances that required extra attention and effort. Not everyone was willing to do this when I was looking for a new place. They listened and put in the extra effort. Since then, I just completed a lease for 2.5 years with Joyce and Robert as property managers. They know what they're doing. Their policies and processes are well established and documented to ensure expectations are clear and understood, demonstrating both experience at what they do and operational maturity. I've also worked with one of their employees for some needed repairs, and that was a great experience too. Based on my experience, I'm confident that anyone who works with Joyce and Robert will have a positive experience.

We've had some unfortunate luck with a few major things breaking in our unit within the first few months of moving in, but the RPMA team was quick to act and got the appropriate resources onsite ASAP. Great communication and fast to act, what more can you ask for?

Fantastic experience: We want lasting tenant-landlord relationships and was principal reasons to built on friendly, timely, and professional communication from day one with Robert and Joyce. They are Proactive in Lease Agreements, clearly and fast subscription on web. Great warranties to create a tenant screening process that helps you find the perfect long-term tenants the first time. Resolve Tenant Issues Quickly and Proactively, great inspections before rent to be sure everything had excellent standard quality before Property was rented. They offer (online applications, online payments, App-managed move out inspections, services and maintenance) make the process of managing properties easy, but also the customer service offered on real time over the phone, covering all topics (from minor scripting, owner statements and to financial statements -with accounting knowledgeable). We chose them for management because they always took good care of property, were always really nice on the phone. They do a good job of staying in contact with me, and doing inspections with height level quality.

Fantastic experience: I have had multiple property managers in the past and decided to even sell my last house and part of it was because of my bad experience with past property managers and didn't want to manage myself. Real Property Management Assurance has been a role model for me and gave me hope that there are good property management companies out there, but definitely rare I would say. I liked every step of the way starting with a turnover to getting a new tenant and it was a great experience and I didn’t have to worry about anything in between. All in all, everything was very well planned, managed and executed while meeting firm established timelines and at a reasonable price and couldn't have asked for anything better in my end. Again, I have had multiple property managers in past and I do have very high standards too, but they went above and beyond anything I would have expected in every way in every single instance. Note that Real Property Management is a franchise, and there are other Real Property Management companies, but they are in no way connected to each other.

Fantastic experience: So the bottom line is Call Robert and Joyce Right Now! Why you ask? Well, it is because Robert and Joyce are an amazing team, super responsive, and will provide you the highest return on your investment property, while taking excellent care of your tenant/guests. I have been managing my properties (an SFR and duplex) on my own for some time now and always enjoyed the process. Work got super busy however, and with all the new laws in PDX lately, just did not have the time or want to spend the money with Legal Counsel to come up to speed on everything. So I called around, interviewed a. bunch of property managers and found Joyce and Robert to be exceedingly responsive, knowledgeable, with multiple pricing models that allowed be to choose the model that would work best for my situation. A perfect example of their excellent service was on a Sunday (of course). I had an issue with the upstairs unit of the duplex (which they did not even manage yet) and I was out of town. I called them, they answered on the second ring and were ready to assist! Again, just amazing service. So call now, you will be happy you did!

I contacted 3 top-rated property management companies via The Thumbtack App and immediately found RPM to be the most responsive, reasonably-priced and professional. They helped me get my downtown Portland townhouse ready for rent and helped to secure a tenant during the winter. Fantastic experience: This was my first time ever becoming a landlord and the transition for me seemed extremely terrifying until I met Joyce and Robert. Our first initial meet was enough for me to choose them as my management team. They helped me through every step and ensured I was being taken care of! I've been renting for 10 years and this is the only 5 star rating I've ever given. The landlords are kind, responsive, and take great care of their property. You can tell they genuinely care about the renting experience. The rent is also priced reasonably. I would recommend them in a heart beat.

Fantastic experience: We rented a property from Real Property Mgmt in 2015-2016 in Portland, OR. Our experience with Robert & Joyce was overwhelmingly positive; moreover, they brought with them a genuine and sincere care about our family and responded promptly to any questions or scenarios we had. They actually proactively looked out for our best interest as well, I.E. free 1GB Internet with HOA that was publicly advertised so we didn't have to pay an internet bill when not needed... This is just one small example. If we still lived in the area, we wouldn't hesitate on who to work with; also, as a property owner myself that owns property from out of state, I wouldn't hesitate to hire them to manage my property as well.
